THe Unlock initiative aims to harness the potential of learning analytics to support student success using student engagement. The initiative is led by the Teaching and Learning unit at Atlantic Technological University. The project involves the analysis and interpretation of student survey information and the application of enhancement interventions to support student engagement, learning, well-being and experience at ATU.
THE Unlock project was created for staff and students. For the logo, I used the jigsaw theme to convey the idea that students and staff are part of something greater, along with the message “Let’s do this together”, and featuring photography, as well as shapes from the logo (curved and sharp edges to remind us that we are all part of a puzzle). I also saw the rounded piece of the jigsaw as resembling a human head, further communicating the idea of putting heads together.
